I am a thinker and a writer of fiction, dramatic literature, essays, humor, and socio-political commentary. My writing stems from the heart, is powered by the mind, and reflects the culture of the Rocky Mountains and American Midwest.
As a long-time student of theatre, oratory, and literature, I celebrate the art of crafting language, marvel at the power of a well-chosen phrase, and savor the joy in finding the perfect word. People whom I respect have described my stories as ambiguous, dramatic, often humorous tales of the human experience that challenge preconceptions, spark emotion, and promote self-reflection and personal growth.
Ever humbled by my readers' attention, I want them to believe in the stories I've written. Contrived or convenient writing is disrespectful of readers' time and intelligence so I take great care to ensure mine is crafted to be real and plausible (if also brazen or unconventional).
It is my job to both beguile and satiate you, without betraying my characters or corrupting their story. Should you find and appreciate the truth in my words, I can think of no greater reward.
